Drum teacher & Bachelor of Music
No, you don’t need a professional studio! All you need is your drum setup (and practice pad), a laptop/smartphone/tablet with a camera, and a stable internet connection. A good-quality microphone (USB microphone, headset, or good webcam) helps enormously. I use Zoom and will simply send you the link. Everything is technically straightforward, and I will help you set it up!
Absolutely yes! I have over 12 years of experience teaching students of all ages, from 6-year-olds to 60+. Everyone receives a personalized introductory program that combines technique, fun, and immediate success from the very first lesson. Whether you’ve never touched a drum set before or already have several years of experience, we’ll find the perfect way to get you started.
My space is located in Hamburg-Altona with excellent transport connections: HolstenstraĂźe S-Bahn station (approx. 10 min. walk), buses (Max-Brauer-Alle Mitte) and public parking spaces (with a little searching) available.
Appointments can be booked flexibly by arrangement. We can arrange fixed weekly slots (e.g., every Tuesday at 6 p.m.) or decide on a case-by-case basis depending on your needs. During the trial lesson, we will discuss what suits you best—whether regular weekly lessons or more intensive blocks.
Show me everything you can and want to show me! The aim is for me to get an impression of you and your level of knowledge. Bring your sticks, sheet music, and songs. Play me everything you can do right now—grooves, exercises, pieces you’re practicing. Think about your goals for the lessons (e.g., “better swing feel,” “first solos,” “confident technique,” “audition preparation”).
This will immediately give the lessons form, structure, and clear goals—we’ll work directly on your path!
A trial lesson usually lasts 30-45 minutes.
For lessons, I naturally recommend having your own drum set that meets your sound expectations and is tailored to your needs.
If you don’t have one yet or need something else, I’ll be happy to advise you on purchases or upgrades.
You’ll also need a practice pad for technical exercises.
For online lessons, all you need is a smartphone or tablet.
